Using TCNJ as a test bed, Dr. Thomas Brennan and the New Jersey Department of Transportation have established a Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) test bench in Armstrong Hall. By combining different data sets (Probe Vehicle Data, Traffic Signal Data, and CAV Data), a more safe and efficient surface transportation system is expected. Dr. Brennan’s research presentation will review the probe vehicle data analytics research conducted at TCNJ in a parallel with the CAV data expected from newly deployed Road Side Units along Route 22.
