TCNJ Civil Engineers Recognized as Tau Beta Pi Scholars

TCNJ Senior Civil Engineering students Alberto Torres, Lauren Santullo and Leon Collins have received the honor of being recognized as Tau Beta Pi Scholars, the engineering national honor society. Tau Beta Pi received 791 scholarship applicants for the 2016-17 academic year, and only 210 students were selected. Of the 210 chosen, only 17 of the students are civil engineers, including 3 TCNJ students.

According to the fall publication of “The Bent of Tau Beta Pi,” most recipients will receive a cash award of $2,000 for their senior year of engineering study, and a few will receive $1,000 for one semester. All scholarships are awarded on the competitive criteria of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession.
